London’s most loved East Asian film festival is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever. Each year I attend, I am always amazed by the variety of genres, categories, events and movie showings.
Between 24th October and the 4th November, prepare to go on a journey to 13 countries in East and South East Asia, with movies from Taiwan being featured for its second year. This year’s theme for Taiwan is “Cinematic Journey Through Taiwan.’
This year’s South Korean features include a range of fictional and non-fictional movies and documentaries, two of which highlight North Korea, and the Sewol Ferry tragedy.
The primary theme for 2018’s LEAFF is the future, and what the future holds and will bring to our lives.
Get ready to mingle with famous Korean actors and directors, whilst indulging in the UK and European premieres of numerous titles!
Last year I was lucky enough to interview K-Drama and movie actor Lee Je Hoon, at 2017’s London East Asia Film Festival. You can view the interview here.
Who knows what’s up next?
